I’m 27 - I will be using Manhattan GMAT guides as well as their advanced quant guide. I’ve also purchased The Official Guide for the GMAT (often referred to as the OG). Also plan to use between five and seven computer adaptive tests.

good idea to use the manhattan advanced quant guide imo. I only used the official guide for my prep and i regretted it when i saw the level of questions that came up on the real test.
If youre aiming for 700+, you will notice the average level of math question on the real test is going to be well abbove what you see in the OG. The OG has maybe about 10 legitimately tough math qs out of 200. I was completely caught off guard on the real thing. For verbal though, the og is fine imo.

Are you familiar with the advanced quant guide and its effectiveness in preparing one for 700-level questions?
 
i didnt use it as i mentioned, but after the test i did have a look on another website (i think gmatclub) where there were lots of level 700 practice questions, which I thought were doable once one had enough practice - ofc, this really didnt help me..as i had already taken the test lol
i would think the advantage of purcashing a proper advanced guide is that it should explain background theory to you in better detail than the official guide which goes through all the math syllabus in about 10 pages. Also, having more practice questions will help a lot to get used to the level of difficulty you should expect on the exam after the first couple of questions.
I would recommend that you start off with just the OG - then do a practice test or 2, and if you can score about 44-45 in the Q section with just the OG, you will definitely be able to reach 50+ with a proper advanced guide.
My mistake was to think the OG was representative of the true test - but as you know, its a CAT so after getting the first 10 questions right, I had to struggle the rest of the way on stuff that I could have easily gotten if I just had more practice on it. I guess I was hovering around the 48Q-50Q range for the majority of the test and ended up with 48, which isnt really that bad, but its nothing special given today’s competition.
TLDR Version: It definitely cant hurt to use the advanced guide. I would say using just OG may lead to disappointment unless you are genuinely a math genius. If aiming for 700+, i would highly recommend any sort of advanced prep beyond the OG (for the math part.)

as for next two months.. world cup, wimbledon, Ramadan. lotsa pending work..
bilal, malaysia is nice in september as it’s between dry season and the rainy season hasnt started yet. it depends on which part of Malaysia you want to visit though..

Lol arranged marriage ain’t all that bad. It is easier seriously. Of course the potential gets to talk and decide. They should be just wise enough to ask the right questions and be open and honest.
