Hi all,
I am a medical doctor in the UK and have 4 years post-graduation work experience. I want to get into pharmaceutical or biotech equity research in London.
Is the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) of any value. I did think of doing CFA level 1, but I do not think that I can realistically do it by myself due to its wide depth and breath, and the long hours I work.
I also did the GMAT last year and scored 650 and did not get into a top MBA. I am not keen to retake the GMAT.
I am know thinking of getting a job with a pharmaceutical company and doing the IMC and then applying for pharma / biotech equity research jobs. Is this realistic?
Thanks for your help and advice. It is much appreciated.
