Irfanullah Financial Training videos?

Arif is fantastic. The only reason why I will fail CFA Level II exams is that I knew about his videos in April, 2012 some two months before the exam, rather late.
I guess we’ll know for sure in 4 days - good luck!

Why would a prep provider ‘encourage’ their customers to submit ‘testimonials’ on a third party website? It may be ok in that part of the world, but out here one simply pays for advertising.
I have not used this service and hence don’t have any feedback on the quality of the offerings.
What? You can post ‘testimonials’ and ask students and pretty much anyone you want to write testimonials for your work. You can also use YouTube to promote your work. Where on earth did you hear that it’s illegal to have people voice their opinion on you? The guy has free stuff on YT. If it matters to you and you care look at it. If not leave him alone. I have no idea who he is and I haven’t seen any of his videos, but I just found CMLSML’s comment odd. GLTA on results day.

The explanation about the YouTube comments makes a lot of sense. As long as those are real testimonials, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that - I apologize for implying otherwise and also for being harsh on my overall tone before.
As I said before, in the video I’ve watched he explicitly said Schweser asks questions only from their own material, or something akin to that. This may be an honest mistake, but it is false information (Schweser would actually be pretty stupid to do that)
I still don’t think anything beats EOCs and BlueBoxes for the first 2 levels (especially Level 2), but people are entitled to look for their favorite ways to pass the test.
I also still think there are enough red flags to be careful, mainly that poster that was spamming advertising here before (got her/his posts deleted). I don’t know if CFA teachers have fans that are hardcore enough to do that.
I truly hope the classes are great and help a lot of candidates. Good luck to you all!

The stuffs seems to be pretty nice. I will give it a try this time around

Great teacher. Definitely Legit.
I like his fast pace and keeps it moving. Unlike a slow old geezer.
I would definitely recommend.
He often says “there is a high probability that this material won’t be tested so I’ll skip” which cut down the study time. Luckily the skipped material wasn’t tested.

I’m very thankful to God that I passed with more than 70% in 8 out of 10 topics - I worked hard for it but there’s no way I could’ve done it without Arif’s videos - If you want to turn this into a witch hunt that’s your call -

A lot of you who are reading this thread have probably never set foot in South Asia. Let me explain how this works.
This really seems like a typical South Asian “business strategy” where you xerox, or at best paraphrase, the schweser material and rebrand it under your own name and try to sell it, as your own, at a significantly discounted rate and then get your buddies to vouch for you.
You can tell, just by the English that is being used here, that none of the people vouching for this guy are Native English speakers but are likely Urdu/Hindi/Farsi English speakers.
These kind of teachers exist all over India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the middle east for pretty much all Western qualfiications and exams such as GMAT. Usually they straight up xerox schweser and then give you classroom time where they watch the videos and go over the topics as needed. These classes cost 20 percent of what Schweser costs. Since It’s next to impossible to protect your intellectual property in these corrupt countries it goes without any sort of legal issue.
Youtube is a different matter. If I were schweser, I’d get legal on this and investigate. Maybe this guy is legit, but maybe not.
Chad, if I were your advertisers I would not be happy about this.

Here’s the BIO:

He has conducted several workshops on Bank Risk Management, Financial Derivatives and Alternative Investments. Arif is a visiting faculty member at IBA where he teaches Finance courses.
Prior to forming his own financial training firm, Arif held senior management positions at Oracle, MindTree and Alchemy. At Oracle he implemented Financial Applications for Fortune 500 companies in the United States. Arif joined MindTree in New Jersey, USA, when it was a startup and helped grow the company to a $200 million global organization.
Arif has a Bachelors in Engineering from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
Arif, which dorms did you stay in at Darthmouth? Who was your adviser?
Are you a charterholder? I know it says that you passed all 3 levels on your first attempt, but are you currently a charterholder? Are you a registered as a prep provider with CFAI?
Tell us more about how you how you built Mind Tree into a 200 million dollar company and then decided to teach CFA classes online and in person in Karachi, Pakistan. While I think teaching can be really rewarding, if I buillt a 200 million dollar startup then I wouldn’t donate my time to teaching bankers divident discount models. God knows there are plenty of people more worthy and needy in Pakistan of your excellent education.

I passed Level 2 Yay! Two things helped. GOD and The man call ARIF IRFANULLAH! God bless this guy. The best way to spend your money. Very hones and NO BS type of guy! The guy has plenty of material online for free why don’t you all check him out for yourselves instead of listening to all the false rumors about him and him material!!!!! He is the single reason i passed.

I passed level 2….n no doubt i dint use Arif Irfanullah videos the entire time…but the videos really helped me alot when u strted using them arnd May (the crash course videos mostly)…they basically are cross referenced to the curriculum at all times..examples, EOC are from the curriculum…the videos really made stuff easier for me when crammin from the curriculum was hell…i just cross referenced the curriculum while watchin the videos and it was way too much easy….
All in all…. I passed….thank God….
