For those of you that have completed the CFA or an MBA at a notable university -- was/is the sacrifice worth it?? I don't mean in financial terms. There are enough threads and info online that strongly suggest that it is worth it, financially.
Considering I'm 30, married with children and starting a new career path, from accounting to finance -- the most important thing to me is my family. I would like to enroll in a respectable MBA program, I doubt I can get into or afford a top tep university -- Vanderbilt seems to be my best option -- but I know working on a 2 year program and the CFA will put a strain on my family. And even if I do survive and complete both -- I don't want a job that will have me living out of my office missing my children growing up. So I'd rather get an MBA right where I am, Arkansas State University, and complete the CFA. Or, am I wasting my time??
