Hi Everyone: I wish I could say I had participated in the forums before today, but unfortunately, that is not the case. I passed Level I in Dec, but I ran out of time and energy on Level II. After looking at these forums, I’m convinced it is essential I be on here some to effectively study for a re-take. This is the first test I have failed in my long academic and finance career. For me, my weakest area was Derivatives. My other weak areas were a result of simply not dedicating the time. Anyway, look forward to communicating with you all over the next year!

Hold your head up.
I’ve been in your place 2x for Level 2. But as you regroup and re-strategise your study method, just make sure you know to really nail the big weights: FRA and Equity.
Many people do did that ended up passing…like me this year =)

I hear you! I was 50-70 on almost everything else; 70+ on quant; looks like if I can push those 50-70s over, I’ll be sitting pretty!

Same here. I passed level 1 in December 14 and I signed up to sit for level 2 in June 15 but I got a full time job in April while doing graduate school and I simply couldn’t study 30-40 percent of the material. I did pass it easily this year after dedicating enough time. Like you this was the first time I failed any test in my entire life. Keep the spirite high and never feel dissapointed.

One of the biggest benefits of this forum is it keeps you involved in the process and helps with motivation.

^ + scare the living daylights out of you because people are posting questions about terms that you only vaguely remember or haven’t gotten to yet! LOL

that happened to me a few times before the L2 exam and I was panicking after some people on this forum posted questions using terms that I was familiar with. But then coz I knew my stuff, you can pick out the errors in their understanding of the concepts/formulae and then I relax. L2 candidates should be in that position of picking out the errors.
Then S2000 Magician just comes along and shows us why he’s really the CFA Magician ;)
