Entrance requirements to the CFA Program is "Have a U.S. bachelors (or equivalent) degree, be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program, or have four years of qualified, professional work experience or a combination of work and college experience that totals at least four years."
Somehow it seems that the US bachelor's degree might be more easily accessible than >4 years of qualified work experience as the latter might prove to be a Catch 22. I assume the latter to be why you ask this question about advice on your job search.
You write, nverge, that you don't have a college degree but such a degree seems to be a prerequisite for being admitted to the program. I've browsed all your posts, most of them from January this year, and I assume you have some good reason or other as to why you haven't been able to get a degree so far. Pity you lost your admittance to that school in Helsinki btw. Have you looked up the possibilities to access some sort of adult education to get a bachelor's degree? I'm not from the US nor have much experience in US education but I do knowsuch degree's are availabe: http://www.spfldcol.edu/home.nsf/academics/weekend.
