By next week, I will have read all the CFA Institute material. So my objective was to find a good review guide that I could go over the next 2 months, and a couple mock exams beyond what CFA offered to prepare myself for exam day.
After comparing both Schweser and Elan, I think I'm going going with the Elan Wildcard pack combo of the Eleventh Hour Review Guide and 2 mock exams for $70 compared to the Schweser Secret Sauce ($100) and practice exams ($150 for 3 exams) which would total $250 and have just one more mock exam.
I know Schweser is very reputable, but I can't justify paying $180 more for a similar product that Elan provides after paying over $1000 to CFA Institute take the exam. I'm trying to avoid having to go thru all of the texts and write down what I want to review, I'd rather run thru the Eleventh Hour guide and use my own notes for stuff not included.
I'll also download the Elan formula sheets and use what I'm buying for $70 to review, and I can always look in the CFA books if I want.
Call me a cheap-ass, but Schweser and Stalla seem waaaaay overpriced.
