Being a retail financial advisor (LPL) should I go for the CFA? My goal is to gain more knowledge about investing and have a credential to go inside if I get tired of chasing prospects. Does this make sense?
Given your goals - increased knowledge and helping your chances of finding a new job - sure, go for it. Just depends if you want to spend the time.
Your best bet would be to find a large RIA and get on board with them. Easiest transition from an FA role to something more analytical.
Go for it!!! If there is something you want to do and it will make you happy then go for it. Never stop in your pursuit of happiness. You’re only 40 years old!! If we put your age into 1 day schedule your life clock is at 2PM. It is still early afternoon and you got a whole day ahead of you. You can do so much at 2 in the afternoon!
