What are you doing with your books now?

Burning books?
Nazis burn books...I implore those of you considering burning books, please dont...

I'll keep them for reference too. Some of the content seems to be only a slightly modified version of some decent finance books, check the author references.

it really is amazing that we not only read all that material but read it numerous times. Most people don't have the motivation to get up to turn on the TV, we read 5-6 textbooks on our own, without anyone pushing us. I'm proud of myself that I was able to stick with it

You should not throw away your books. If you don't want them, I'll take them.

After the exam, I overheard someone on the elevator said, "Hey, let's just consider all of the money we threw into the CFA program as sunk cost." I was amused. Well, I do not totally agree with it. I hope all the stuff we learnt from the books still worth something... Will the future editions have major face-lifts? Maybe, maybe not. I believe the basics would remain the same.

Either pass or not, I'm proud of myself that I tried my best going through this marathon. Everyday I barely had an hour or two sitting down quietly reading without being disturbed. I envy those who can bury their noses to study all day long. The CFAI books are well written. I may want to re-read sometimes later.

I stacked them all up into one big pile, turn each book evenly at the corner by a few degrees and call it X-Mas decoration since they are all greenish. Makes for a swirley spiral of goodness... ohhhh the joy of FREEDOM again!

i started on program with intention to learn something new, exam was a milestone.. not destination
i will never throw away any books or reference material i purchased

why are they completely worthless if you don't pass, it's not like you should just toss them b/c you need to learn 100% new material. they'll still be very good references for more practice problems. and if you did pass, still good references

Are we legally allowed to sell the CFA books on eBay?
