I really don’t think this is the case.It is a mere coincidence that the passrate has been around 30-40% in the last few years. This is because of the large number of students turning up for this exam.If this was to be true, then I am sure CFAI would have uploaded these facts in their website. They clearly mention in their website that MPS is set up by their Board of Governors by looking at the difficulty level of the question paper. It is no where mentioned that student’s performance are checked in order to come up with the MPS.I think the Board is competant enough to themself decide what should be the cut off marks.Everyone who crosses this marks will definitely pass no matter whether they are 30% or 80% of the overall students.
It goes both way, to me it seems very hard to believe that the level of the candidates deciding to pass this exam would be that constant every year. Especially when you take in account business cycles where some people will try to get more notches to their belts in case they would get redundant … etcRakeshS wrote:
Agreed… Statistically No of SMART Applicants do NOT increase by 100% just in one year.
